Product information: This fabric is from Designtex's line of environmentally friendly fabrics. The line is so 'green,' its: Cradle-to-Cradle Certified, EU Flower Certified, Oeko-tex Certified, Scientific Certifications Systems, and Greenguard Certified. ALSO this fabric can contribute to the following LEED Credits: recycled content, regional materials, innovation in design, rapidly renewable materials, and certified wood. Designtex offers a recycling program for their fabrics and also have a reclaim program. This one in particular, is made from 100% Rayon from bamboo (a rapidly renewable resource), which makes it extremely durable (has abrasion of 100,000) and considered 'extreme performance' on Designtex's website.
