Product Information: Icon's Casali glass doors are works of art. The doors are hand-etched, and are stories of inspiration, this door, obviously inspired by coral. The company Icon is a member of the USGBC and is currently seeking LEED certification for its facilities.

Vauni Fireplace

Product Information: This fireplace is literally a flame sculpture. This product is made of light-weight aluminum, and is as easy to install as a flat screen TV. It requires no chimney because of its adjustable bio-ethanol burner, and burns liquid denatured ethanol. The ethanol is biodegradable and a renewable energy source. The fire emits a very small amount of carbon dioxide and water vapor, so its harmless. This Swedish fireplace is actually more efficient than a chimney fireplace because none of the heat escapes through a chimney rather, it is released into the room. Price tag: $2,500

Stainless Steel Luxury Bath Decor

Product Information: Neo-Metro designs and manufacturers beautiful, high-end stainless steel bath decor, and 80% of that decor is designed to meet ADA protocol. The company (USGBC member) uses 80% recycled stainless steel to make all of their products. Stainless steel, which is a recycled material and so their bath decor can be scrapped out and continually be recycled. Another great thing is that this product (as well as the rest of their products) are designed to reduce water consumption. They do this along with AcornVac, a part of their company that focuses on vacuum plumbing, which works toward LEED points for new buildings. This double sink made of stainless steel, and topped with an opaque white resin, has an 'invisible' drain, and can be outfitted with sensor-activated faucets, which would reduce water consumption even more.

Wallcovering

Product Information: This wallcovering looks really unique, and I am using it for my China project. It feels like leather, but looks like glue was applied to a wall and red tissue paper was put on top and then messed with to create these triangular raised lines that make you want to touch it. It is actually made form 100% vinyl. It is recommended by the manufacturer to avoid using this wallcovering where moisture is prevalent, especially in warm humid climates. Its not cheap either, it costs $20 a yard.

Product Information: This beautiful fabric comes in a variety of color options and has very impressive specifications. It won gold for Best of Neocon, so you know its amazing. This fabric is made of 100% Post-consumer recycled polyester, finished with Greenshield + moisture barrier, and is very durable (60,000 double rubs). The most interesting thing about this fabric is that it contains Woven Agion, a product that utilizes a silver/copper ion bi-component technology, thus making the fabirc non-toxic to people, animals, and plants by not off-gassing anything. Agion makes the fabric resistant to bacteria, microbes, mildew, and bleach; and anti-fungal, flame retardant, and fade resistant. This fabric is great to use in homes, hospitals, offices, schools, anywhere really.

Product Information: This is another one of my favorite, very "green" products. It can contribute to LEED CI, NC, and Schools Credits for: Recycled Content, Regional Material, Rapidly Renewable Materials, Certified Wood (by FSC &SFI), and Low-Emitting Office Furniture. Also, this product is GREENGUARD Certified. It is made of many sheets of kraft paper and layers of different resins that are heated at a high temperature, thus creating a beautiful solid laminate material that is very flexible and easy work with. It can be used for almost any application, except showers, pools, and other high-moisture areas. It is extremely durable, and actually exceeds NEMA's wear standards by up to 400%!
